The reduced ricochet and reduced over-penetration characteristics of EXTREME SHOCK are astounding! EXTREME SHOCK's frangible and reduced ricochet properties produce a greater level of safety, making it the ideal choice for urban and home defense applications. When using the AFR, a miss on a target will not penetrate several walls, as a standard hollow point would, potentially injuring a family member or neighbor. Over-penetration is minimized when the bullet fragments as it passes through the wall.

It is this controlled fragmentation that causes massive shock trauma, shutting down the Central Nervous System instantly. HOW EXTREME SHOCK WORKS

Tungsten is one of the most dense metals readily available to man. EXTREME SHOCK utilizes Tungsten to produce a very dense blend of Ny-Trilium powder. It is this dense proprietary blend of Ny-Trilium matrix that allows EXTREME SHOCK bullets to penetrate less dense materials, such as, heavy clothing, thick hide and bone with ease,...and still rapidly fragment once they impact soft tissue. The key to making any bullet perform is it's ability to expand when it impacts fluid. Typically most organic targets contain approximately 85% fluid. Once an EXTREME SHOCK bullet penetrates into soft tissue and impacts fluid, the defractor plate acts as a piston to force the Ny-Trilium matrix out into the tissue at 90 degree angles to the entry channel.

With 100% energy transfer into the tissue mass, the Ny-Trilium particles pick up the loose tissue and shove it forward, EXPONENTIALLY increasing the frontal area of the projectile. As the Ny-Trilium particles hit other soft tissue and bone, they release the last amount of kinetic energy as they dissipate, creating literally thousands of wound channels.
