The reduced ricochet and reduced over-penetration characteristics of EXTREME SHOCK are astounding! When using the AFR, a miss on a target will not penetrate several walls, as a standard hollow point would, potentially injuring a family member or neighbor. Over-penetration is minimized when the bullet fragments as it passes through the wall.

EXTREME SHOCK rounds transfer 100% of their energy to the target through controlled fragmentation. It is this controlled fragmentation that causes massive shock trauma, shutting down the Central Nervous System instantly. EXTREME SHOCK rounds give the user/operator enhanced capability, allowing for safe, successful shots that would not be possible with a lead or solid core bullet.

HOW EXTREME SHOCK WORKS

Tungsten is one of the most dense metals readily available to man. EXTREME SHOCK utilizes Tungsten. It is this dense proprietary blend of Tungsten that allows EXTREME SHOCK bullets to penetrate less dense materials, such as, heavy clothing, thick hide and bone with ease,...and still rapidly fragment once they impact soft tissue. The key to making any bullet perform is it's ability to expand when it impacts fluid. Typically most organic targets contain approximately 85% fluid. Once an EXTREME SHOCK bullet penetrates into soft tissue and impacts fluid, the defractor plate acts as a piston to force the Tungsten out into the tissue at 90 degree angles to the entry channel.

With 100% energy transfer into the tissue mass, the Tungsten particles pick up the loose tissue and shove it forward, EXPONENTIALLY increasing the frontal area of the projectile. As the tungsten particles hit other soft tissue and bone, they release the last amount of kinetic energy as they dissipate, creating literally thousands of wound channels. EXTREME SHOCK stops the threat instantly and humanely.

Constantly working to achieve maximum performance from their products, Extreme Shock is now able to release the improved CT2 (Copper Training/Tactical), thus expanding the CT2 further into the tactical realm. When it was first released, the CT2 was primarily designed to be a training round. In these monetarily depressed times, The Extreme Shock Team has taken the initiative to produce a more cost efficient self defense round. By enhancing the core design, our engineers have been able to design the bullet to fragment as expansively as our tungsten core munitions. You now get the same results from the copper as you do with the tungsten core. The tungsten due to its heavy, dense core provides long range performance. But as most self defense shooting situations occur within 3 yards or closer to your assailant, the CT2 is ideal to a person who wishes to protect their life and the lives of their family members. The attached picture illustrates the massive fragmentation inside a ballistic gel block. The CT2 is fully capable of stopping the threat instantly. It should be noted that the 45 ACP 150 grain CT2 was shot at a distance of only 3 yards with no exit.
